About our City

The City of Huntington, Texas, sits just minutes away from Lake Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend Reservoir, both exceptionally well known for excellent fishing, water sports, camping, and a myriad of recreational activities.  The City is also nestled between thousands of acres of national forest lands, in two national forest areas, Angelina National Forest and Davy Crockett National Forest.

Huntington is a growing city with a small-town atmosphere.  Tax rates are low, and quality services are available from the city and providers of other utility services.   The local school district serves students with quality instruction and academic programs, as well as successful athletic programs.

Huntington is a two-hour drive from Houston, 3 ½ hour drive from Dallas, and 1 ½ drive from the Beaumont/Golden Triangle area.
